Radar Mounts

I'm adding radar (Simrad BR-24) to my sailboat (1985 Beneteau 345) this Spring. Planning on a mast mount and I have a few questions....
How high up on the mast is optimal w/o interferring w/ head sail?
Is a self-leveling mount worth the cost? If so (or not) what do you recommend. Thanks.

Re: Radar Mounts

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, tijel.

It took you long enough to get around to posting.
