Protect electronics from lightnings?

What happens with all electronics in this kind of weather, and what should i do in the middle of the ocean? Can i protect my electronics?

Unplug everything before the lightning strikes, and put what you can in the oven. Microwaves are also a nice Faraday cage to protect the contents, but be sure to unplug them
