P2P MARINE MAP EXCHANGE

I am sure many of you like me have exchanged music, films and programs for personal use through various free on-line P2P file exchange programs.

The thought then struck me, why not make a special area on our PC´s available for exchange with other fellow yachtsmen?

A lot of electronic charts are used but once or twice and they are not cheap to buy.

A great variety of downloadable charts can be made accessable and you just use the type prefix when you do the search, i.e. .bsb .jpg .enc etc.

I have taken the first step using the free ares.com p2p program which you can download from ares.com

I have made several charts available in a special archive on my PC so you just do a search using the word 'seacharts'

Have a try and let me know if you have any problems.

BEACHES OF UBATUBA

Hi Keith.. Yes you must come back for a second visit, once bitten by the bug, Brazil is hard to forget. We have actually HUNDREDS of fine beaches in the Costa Verde area.

Regards my idea of a P2P chart exchange you will find lots of sea-charts of the area through www.aresgalaxy.com where you download the free P2P program Ares.com

Do a search using 'seacharts' and you should find all the charts of the area. I can´t check it from my own PC so grateful for report from you that it works.

I wish all the members of the forum a peaceful and prosperous New Year!
