For good reasons, not the least of which are shifting channels, shallow depths and breaking seas, Oregon Inlet is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous on the east coast. Large local sport fishing boats get in trouble there regularly.

Re: oregon inlet info please

yes, I have read all the horror stories. I have also read the latest reports from army corps of engineers which is showing 10-14 foot depths on the latest surveys from June 2016 and July 2016. and 12-23 through the channel to the bridge. (If I am reading the reports properly) I am looking for anyone who has been through there in the last month specifically or has very recent local knowledge!
