Vector chart, the letter "i" for information, is it not? Right click or press and hold for a context menu or popup.

Anyway, that's the first thing that popped in my head reading the original post. Probably nothing about that on Chart 1 or Bowditch.

Confuses some old salts I guess.

I tried to load a screen shot of my iPad with Safari and couldn’t figure out how to do that. In any case, Don C was the first I saw in this post with the marker. It’s the one on the far right of the 1.2 line.

There was at least one screen shot I saw that had it on there may have been more, but I wanted to respond before reading all the replies.

Steamgoat’s screen shot has the marker. The reason I started looking in the Chart 1 was I couldn’t get any information to pop up when I held my finger over the “i”. I am using iSailor on my iPad. I wasn’t navigating, just sitting at home looking at a port. I saw this and thought, “What’s that?” So, i held my finger over it, thinking it was some kind of informational marker, but nothing happened. It could be that iSailor doesn’t show the pop up unless you are navigating, but it seems it would always show the information since sitting at home doing research is the best time to look these up instead of when you’re coming up on one in a tight area - especially the ones in the waterway.

I’ll play with iSailor some more and see if I can get it to pop something up.

Did you slide your finger to the mark and stop?

Or did you tap and hold on the mark?

Try a tap, but don't release. That's the touch screen equivalent of a right click with a mouse.

Sometimes it takes a couple tries to hit it accurately. Also, zoom in to make it a larger easy target for fingertips.

Yep, that's what I see for the icon. But whether I tap and hold or just tap, I get the same pop up of just the lat/lon.

How do I pop up the info?

When you have the black lat/long pop up,tap the I on the left of the pop up.
