NOAA APT Images and GRIB Files

Hello!!
Recently I´ve built an antenna for receiving NOAA weather images from their satellites via Automatic Picture Transmission and it´s working great!
But now I´m trying to use these images as a background to GRIB files.
Does anyone could point a way so I could achieve that? Or a combination of softwares? I Know that can be done with photoshop but I´m trying to use one of the navigation programs or grib viewers available.
The images are a partial piece of the Earth, captured during one of the satellite passages above my location.
My intention is to capture the images via radio and the grib files via iridium phone.
