New Maxsea Ipad App - anyone using it in lieu of Inavx and Navionics?

Its a free app to download, and its chart prices seem compatible with what Inavx offer through X-traverse.

Nobletec also have an Ipad app, and as they seem to be the same company as Maxsea, I dunno what the difference would be.

Edit: Just had another look and they only seem to offer charts in the Northern Hemisphere that goes with the App, and not the Southern Hemisphere where I am. But one would assume it's just a matter of time.

Edit two: It seems Maxsea support is in French, and Nobletec support for the app is in English, other than that they are essentially the same app.

Re: New Maxsea Ipad App - anyone using it in lieu of Inavx and Navionics?

I read in another forum that MaxSea acquired Nobeltec recently.

I would have thought they'd have charts for southern hemisphere, given their worldwide support for MaxSea (laptop) and for Furuno's NAVNet 3D systems. Rummage on the MaxSea website, or the MapMedia site... or even the Furuno site.

MaxSea support from France -- as I've encountered for MaxSea on our laptop, using e-mail -- has been in English. Sometimes needing a bit of reading between the lines, but otherwise excellent.

Would be nice if MaxSea introduced an Android version...
