Need help with Garmin 545

All, I just purchased and connected a Garmin 545s; all is working but the sonar which says, not connected...Transducer is on, unit is plugged in...am I doing something simple or stupid?

Don't know the 545 specifically but I have a 276 and I had to set the port to Garmin Depth Sounder or some such before it saw mine.

Go to the electronics board at Boating & Fishing Forum - The Hull Truth and search for 545S. You will find a lot of postings from contributor 'bluewaterpirate' that will be very useful for getting the most out of your Garmin.

Fixed

Folks, install error...the transducer's plug-in had disconnected from the connection cord. Works great now. Woman at the shop's advice - always double check your connections. DT
