Navionics on Droid smartphone

I have a strong recommendation to make, based on personal experience over the last week.

On reading in a Westsail Owners Assn blog that the Navionics navigation s/w on Droid smartphones is a great tool, I decided to give it a try. We were due for an upgrade, and got a Verizon Casio GZOne ruggedized Droid smartphone a few weeks ago. I puchased the US&Canada charts for an remarkably inexpensive less than $20. Over the last week, we've had the unit by the wheel along with paper charts thru the Georgia ICW. I have to tell you, it's been great!
