NAME: ARNHEM LAND
PURPOSE: To facilitate safe navigation and to assist surveillance and patrol
operations.
SPONSOR: RAN (HQNORCOM)
IMPORTANCE: Commercial: LOW
Defence: MED
Environmental: MED
SURVEY: This extensive area was previously progressed westwards by a
series of surveys that commenced in the vicinity of the Wessel
Islands in 1986/87. The current programme now focused on the
western area between Cape Don and Croker Island. In the medium
term, efforts will also be concentrated on the approaches to
Maningrida and Milingimbi.
DESCRIPTION: Shallow depths (generally < 50m) offshore with occasional reef and
shoal areas. Suitable for HS in offshore areas with the inshore and

of grounding/sensor damage in shallow waters. The area is
conducive to undertaking detached survey operations.

Re: Navigation In the 0-3 Fathoms Zone

Taking into consideration the correction made to the two relevant charts of the region:

Delete depth, 3 6m
Insert underwater rock enclosed by danger circle

Substitute underwater rock enclosed by danger circle for depth, 2fm

I will say yes to the original question.
