Paul,
v0.21 works perfectly using the Prolific USB driver from Brookhouse. Nice job!

Oh, BTW, two instances of NavMon work fine too. I have one instance on instruments and the other on AIS. Virtual port on the 1st instance feeding data to the 2nd instance. But, I'll bet you knew that worked ;-)

Good online AIS NMEA source

Hi,
there is a good online source of live raw NMEA AIS messages. This site AIS Hub has been launched a week ago and already has about 10 contributors.

Rev 0.31

I recently uploaded rev 0.31 of my NavMonPc program. This version adds quite a few perhaps-useful features and improvements. Details here: NavMonPc
Check out the link to some interesting AIS display details: NavMonPc

Hello Paul, thanks for contributing this superb piece of software. Have you considered publishing for other platforms or publishing the source code so as to permit porting?

This is no joke, the attached image is real, fed with data from my AIS transponder.

The software becomes very slow when it's receiving the 197 targets but once they are all in the table it's okay again. I'm using a 1 GHz VIA Esther CPU here.

Just thought it would be nice to see this instead of just a couple of targets.

Also, note the range... and there's targets outside the view still. I measured 3 at more than 80 nm with MaxSea. The chosen target details are from Jedi itself.

cheers,
Nick.
