Lost mine going round Cape Wrath, wind
blew the map case and chart out of my hands and over it went. No problem we had GPS
, that failed when we took a wave over the top in the Pentland Firth. Navigation
was then by eye ball keeping Scotland
on the right and timing was with a wrist watch, a chinograph pencil on a dive slate and using the rev counter for the speed. Inverness was a welcome sight.
