Lowdown on Navigatrix?

Navigatrix, as I understand it, is a version of Ubuntu that is set up for sailors, with OpenCPN and other programs of interest to cruisers already installed. I also get the feeling that it is stripped down to fit on a smallish flash drive, so that Ubuntu users might not find the Linux features they are used to.

Anyway, anyone here use it? Is it worth installing?

Doesn't seem to have a lot of fans, but I will download it anyway. Notice there is another distro, Xinotop, so will install both. Flash drives are cheap.

I've been using it for over a year now on deliveries pretty much world-wide. So happy with it that I've partitioned my computer to have a Linux portion - much quicker, but an 4 gig stick is all you need. That way you can check it out. The Navigatrix forum is fantastic with advice which i found especially useful - no-one "talks down" to a new user (which I was) and I'm pretty blonde when it comes to computers!
