We are planning to travel to
Grenada next
winter and we are wondering what the best
route would be. We will have 3-4 months and even if we don't get that far we we expect to round the Keys in late January and leave the US behind. We plan to return to the
east coast by mid May (or leave the
boat in
Grenada for
hurricane season?) Which way will the
weather be helpful and not a hindrance? Is there a good reason to leave
Cuba to port and make our fast time early and meander on the way back? I keep reading that the "Thorny Path" is to go south east down the islands but I don't know of another way.
