Re: jet stream crosses equator....

Perhaps not:
Claim that jet stream crossing equator is ‘climate emergency’ is utter nonsense

If true it is going screw up the winds on my passage from Maui in August.

Re: jet stream crosses equator....

The way the 'information' is served seems to suggest this is utter BS.

And btw the wx equator is about 5 degs N, not 0 degs N. Apparently, this "scientist" learned meteorology at a "university". Of life, perhaps.

Geopolitical chaos, food shortages and Hollywood movies. C'mon.

Junk science, a desire to be noticed and the Internet... how well they go together!

The NOAA weather fax for the NE Pacific show nothing even close.

Re: jet stream crosses equator....

You remember in Pirates of the Caribbean where Jack starts running backwards and forwards across the ship to set up rhythmic rolling to turn it upside down just in time for the green flash to turn it back right side up.

Weeell, the jet stream crossing the equator was so that when the Brits voted for Brexit the jet stream could jump back to the right side of the equator. Simple really, now all they have to do is get the hens laying again and some milk out of the cows.

I think maybe we will not have to worry about anything else other than the huge release of METHANE from the heating of the Arctic .Read about that and lets comment. From what I read we are past the tipping point where no matter what we do we cannot stop total disaster from occurring with the heating of the oceans eventually leading to the sea releasing toxic gas worse than cyanide.
Look at what's happening to the Great Barrier Reef as we speak !!!Horrifying!!!

Just read the article and it sounds like truth telling to me .Based on OBSERVATION so I am not going to nay say it as that is what I use to navigate my world. It explains a lot about what is going on with unusual weather patterns that we are seeing daily.

Jim

It's not helping to misinterpret (this guy is an engineer attempting to become a climatologist who I suspect has gotten too far ahead of his coursework) data without understanding that this happens all the time naturally. On the other hand, there's abundant observations of events (not theories) that back up the hypothesis that we are frogs in saucepans: May 2016 was the hottest May on record.

Re: jet stream crosses equator....

Yeah. I fell for it. It's bunk, because it has happened before. Unfortunately this only serves a fuel for the climate change deniers. FYI - I am also an engineer, so if you want engineering expertise I may be able to help. If you want climate expertise, you to the climate scientists.

Re: jet stream crosses equator....

la nina current rose in may . la nina cycle began in june once that current rose. the rest of his spiel is beyond words.
la nina current causes many changes each time cycling. it is stronger than normal this cycle, following a stronger than ever el nino cycle. enjoy the unique changes this year, hopefully this planet should resume normal cycles at some point.
if not--our only constant is change. so flex with it.
in the mean time, what are humans gonna do to reverse any changes, and how does one respond to a climate change emergency??
haha ha ha cpr on planet?? who wants to blow air into a volcano??
we aint killin' it that fast, in fact, new species are being discovered and cats have much more intelligence than originally thought, therefore will battle with cucarocha to take over planet .
personally, i just follow the cycles and watch the patterns.

Want to cut out fake science? Do away with grant money. These scum-bag "scientists" will do, say and write anything to avoid getting a real job.
