Hard not to laugh.....

....or at least smile , but nonetheless a cautionary tale.

"Marine GPS lost overboard sunday 14/4/13 between First Tower and Elizabeth Castle, would be really thankful to have it returned"

http://www.jtinsight.com/Classifieds...ound/Lost/GPS/

All in sight of land (and well inside the bay) so not a drama - can well imagine the language used .

BTW I stumbled accross that Lost & found bit of the website because spent a couple of hours trying to capture a parrot (not mine!), and being outwitted by it.........

Re: Hard not to laugh.....

The "lost" GPS probably got tired of being lost and decided to take a powder!

Re: Hard not to laugh.....

A Happy ending .

"Parrot now home. Thank you to all in the area who helped me over the bank holiday to catch him"

PARROT LOST - LE SQUEZ AREA ON SUNDAY - Lost - JT Insight

Name is Alfie -but does not seem to respond to it .

Not spoken to the lady owner, about how and when was recaptured - but he defeated me! and tree climbing was involved (it's been a few years!)..........but as the owner was around nothing more brutal could be attempted . But a pleasant way to spend an hour or 3...........

Not sure about Parrot but we had something with Ginger fur on it in a back street cafe in Kowloon. They didn't speak English and we didn't speak Chinese so we just pointed, ate and paid.

Funny. The GPS was lost just 2 miles from my home. That part of the bay is mostly dry at low tide, as well. You can walk to Elizabeth Castle.
