BTW: I also changed the default depth units to feet so that if someone forgets to set it properly, the chart produced will be on the safe side ie if its really meters they won't run aground following it.

With the new land alorithm, you don't have to set the GE transparency to opaque. I tried it with a lower value and it was still able to make the land transparent and on the resulting chart you could see the water features.

Rats!
That fix: 2. Fix problem loading images east of longitude 0.
Wasn't a problem they just gave me the wrong waypoints.
Fix removed:
Now V3.3.3

Paul..
Using V3.3.2 I got the displayed error message before the final saving to .kap
Now how to save the combined GE/Overlay map in the full size of the overlay?
GE only saves the screen display...
Final part of log file:

Paul..
Does the whole job except the final .kap conversion..
See the .jpg file I renamed and converted manually.
I used just a normal CM93 overlay.

Sorry Tore but I don't understand your question. Are you having trouble converting a CM93 image? If you'll just send me the the image and the log, I can diagnose what problem is.

Paul..
I've sent you the error messages previously...
The program functions fine until the last stage storing the .jpg file and doing the conversion to .kap That part does NOT work.

I can't seem to upload any files to the forum tonight. It is just a normal CM93 screen dump in .png format plus a .txt file with the coordinates.
Must be ok as it produced the final .jpg file prior to the conversion to .kap

Paul..
Re my #233.. I would prefer the final overlay .kap chart to have the original bright colours of the CM93 chart. The present overlay is a bit dark..

Blowing like hell here. Glad I'm on a mooring ball.
Tore,
You seem to be bouncing around two versions of GE2KAP so I'm not sure what problem is what version V2 or V3.
I tried your PNG on V3.3.3 and it works for me but without having the whole log I can't see the histogram your height, fuzz etc. You have my email address so why can't you send it as an attachment.
As for the colors well I'd like it to be crisper to but the image goes through a lot of conversions in the process and does get washed out a bit.
Paul

feet or meters
I don't understand how this works. Is it setting the values in GE I can't believe it is doing it for a opencpn image as its just a screencapture

R.Fairman
Are you saying there is something wrong?
Tore,
Regarding your problem with V3.3.3, the attached is what I get when I try it. I think you may be turning the transparancy too low. Best to leave it full opaque. In the next version I will put a check to see if it doesn' t find a valid land color.
and BTW the only non-beta version I support is GE2KAP.V2.0.7.
