Picked up a 750 at the Sydney boat show. The built-in charts are quite good - sort of like the old Blue Charts that we had on a 782. The Vista add-ons are outstanding - a lot of value and usability added in my opinion.

I think the 750 is about the best value available at the moment having done a lot of research before buying.

Re: Garmin GPSMAP 750

Hi Guys,
Are you both still happy with your GPSMAP750s units? Any bugs, lockups etc ?
Would be interested to hear how you're getting on and what version of the firmware you're using. (Found under Configure>System>System Information at the top of the screen).
Thanks
B

Re: Garmin GPSMAP 750

I am still very happy with our GPSMap 750S. No bugs, no lockups, just works.

Radar overlay in recent firmware update works like a champ.

That's good to hear. I'm having a bit of a time with mine and have been trying to gauge how prevalent these problems are around the place. Seems that generally it's a good unit and apart from lockups it does everything I want and look Mum, no buttons and cursor!! Thanks Rob.
