I could not run the 32bit version so I compiled from source from sourceforge and it says the version only 3.4.4. Where do I get the latest source?

We didn't publish our sources for the V5 serie yet. We might do it in some future but not immediately.

We'll provide a better linux package for both 32 and 64bits (just found a machine for the later) for the 5.0.13, which is due probably this WE or begining of next week.

Because the source is common for Android, Linux, Windows, Mac/Os and soon IOS, we choose not to publish it for now. It might change in the future but that's our decision for the time being.

In short V3-serie is GPL, V5-serie is not.

Just a heads-up. I got a message to download an updated version of this program. When I did Norton360 alerted to a virus in the newest version!!

That version has been installed many times already without any problems (apart from being quite new so Norton does not know about it etc...).

Yes you are right. The error is that it is a new file and no profile. Keep in mind I am running the older version, 3-4-4 with no issues. The error is on V5.0.12, that is only 1 week old.

Since this is the only PC I have, the security settings are set at 'stupid tough'.

Another reason for a separate PC for the boat...

Phillippe, can you recommend how to install the latest version on Linux? I'm running Ubuntu 14 and have the tar.gz file downloaded but didn't see an install file or readme instructions in there.

Hi,

Just uncompress the file somewhere it suits you, then go to that directory and run ./launchQtVlm

Tell me if you need more info for uncompressing a .tar.gz file

Is there still a problem with the tidal current grib files from BSH.de?
I combine 3 grib2 files into 1 grib file using qtvlm and when opening I get a message they are successfully loaded.

However I can't manage to make them visible. Is there something I forget or is there a problem with BSH.de tidal current grib2 files?

the seperate grib2 files and the combined grib file have been sent to your email.

We will try. Adrena itself is not accepting these gribs and I remember that these gribs are not perfect, something about null values vs 0 values.

More on that later, we are also quite busy on other fronts
