It contains various improvements and fixes, plus the possibility to tune the polar efficiency. You can also calculate routings and routes using a mixed of engine and sails.

You need to login/register only if you choose to use qtVLM in virtual navigation mode (connected to VLM servers, in which case you must have a VLM account).

If you choose real-boat as a profile type then there is no need to register or whatever.

I have re-installed your prog 3 times but I don´t get past the first entry point with the password request. I have made the selection of boat as you suggested but nothing happens when I press OK.

The green loading line stops at 92% and never finishes.

I am on Win7

Probably you need to have a polar for your boat. I have added some samples in the distribution, so you can redownload and reapply patch1 to get them all. Or for instance you can use this one (pogo 8.50) http://www.virtual-winds.com/maitai/boat_Pogo850JL.csv. To be put in the polar directory of qtVLM.

You need to define a name for your boat (whatever you want, but cannot be empty), then to select a polar for it. Since you don't have one I have added some samples in the distribution so you can just redownload and reapply "patch1" to get them.

But I don´t even get that far to select a boat name etc. I don´t get past the first menu although I have selected ´Vrai bateau´ ??
I have installed the polar for Pogo850JL.csv in the polar directory.

In the field "identifiant", which stands for "name of the boat" type something. It cannot be empty.

I'll fix that one in the next release, and also the fact that it starts in french by default.

OK,I see... my French is very rusty, I thought the two fields were username and password. I will try again... I have a good size database of polars I will copy over.
