Experiences with Furuno 1623 radar?

I am planning to buy a standalone radar. Are there any experiences with the Furuno 1623? Any feedback appreciated!

Installed one last year. I think it's great. I am trying to stay as high price gadget free as possible but we really like to know whats out there when stuck in a fog. It's pretty nice for following the squalls too.
