Re: Dominican rep. south coast going west

Now look, I thought that we had some sailors on here who would know which is west and which way was east. The sun for instance rises in the east and sets in the west. That's the way we want to sail, from east to west so why do I keep getting replies to this thread by sailors who don't read the OP post, or don't know which way theyre going

We probably have some who know. But for me, I sometimes have trouble with up and down! :-))

Re: Dominican rep. south coast going west

[QUOTE=shantycrew;1392206]Put this in general sailing but maybe better here

There seem to be quite a few posts on going west to east towards the BVI but precious little going the way we're planning.

Hello, we expect to be sailing a similiar route as you. At least your first leg. We are currently at Palmas del Mar on the SE end of Puerto Rico. By mid Dec. the boat should be ship sharp and ready to work our way to Buquron PR. From there we will head to the south coast of the DR, Jamica, Grand Caymen and on to Mexico. When do you think you will be leaving PR and from what port. Maybe we can connect and share information.
