Dell Inspiron 640 m power question

I have a Dell Inspiron 640m on board and I am trying to power it with the 12 v DC of my boat instead of using the provided 110 AC power supply.

Thanks,

Not sure what voltage battery is in that model but all Dell laptops have 12V cigarette lighter plugs available to power in your car. Available direct from Dell or plenty available on eBay.

Then the same voltage as mine. The 12V adapter boosts the voltage to charge the 19.5V internal battery.

OK great, I think I just found this adapter on ebay, I will buy it shortly as this will solve the issue of keep the PC running and using it with e-charts and GPS.

Thanks for your great help.
