Customs checkin at Cat Key, Bahamas

We have been to Binimi many times to check in and would like to go directly from Ft. Lauderdale to Cat Key on our way to Georgetown, Exumas.

I was always told that Cat Key charged $100.00 to tieup to check into customs. Is that true?

The next best place to checkin would be Nassau, where we stop for fuel. Is there any problem checking in to customs at a fuel dock, without renting a slip.

Any suggests or comments would be helpful.

Why not anchor and dinghy in to C and I? Cost: Zero
