current prediction charts

Somewhere I thought I've seen charts that illustrate current flows. Can't find anything.

As an example, the gulf stream is pretty well documented but there are many side counter currents along the shore of fl, ga, nc, sc.

I'd like to have access to that info online.

Thnx

Re: current prediction charts

You asked for predictions, and Hud3 covered this well. But also look at actual measurements (a bit of a pain to configure, make sure you check the box "currents"):

Near Real-Time Altimeter(JASON-1,TOPEX,ERS2&GFO)-GTS Data

Hud
Thanks for those, very nice.
But I recall seeing some graphics that were much more localized to the coast showing small countercurrents. Those you linked to are too large scale to show the details I'm referring to

gettinthere,
Which area are you interested into?

For W France, the detailed forecast is there: North east Atlantic models - PREVIMER - Coastal observations and forecasts

Alain

this forum often is a bit US-centric. The original poster indicated

fl = Florida, ga = Georgia, nc = North Carolina, sc = South Carolina

Re: current prediction charts

Yes, I read the original post a bit too fast. But the OP didn't write that he *wanted* information about currents along the coast of fl, ga, nc, sc...
