Current in marina

I'm berthed in Boat Haven Marina at Port Townsend. The marina is box shaped with rock jetties on all sides and one narrow channel located at a corner for an entrance.

Tides in this area are substantial - over 8 feet. Currents in the bay can run over 3 knots.

I'm getting into navigation now and started thinking about what the current inside the marina would do. I'm 2 states away at the moment, so can simply go look.

Water will of course enter/leave thru the one opening. My first thought was that this would impart a circular motion inside the marina - clockwise on a rising tide and counter clockwise on the falling tide. I then thought that the boats and slips would possible act as baffles and the current would largely be eliminated. I don't remember seeing any evidence of current while I was on the boat, so possibly this is correct?

We have docked in there several times, and never noticed any noticeable current which would be of concern.

We will be hauling out there in the middle of this month as well.
