Re: CPN on android tablets?

For the moment no... but work is underway to port OpenCPN to Tablets using Linux. Complicated for the average user and invalidates your guarantee. Read more about it here (if you dare):

Another, easier way is to keep using your laptop safely down below and duplicate the screen display on your Android Tablet using TeamViewer over LAN. (free) If you do´nt already have a router on board, get a USB pendrive router for your laptop. You can also add a mini USB mouse hub and mouse to plug into a Samsung USB port/hub.

At least it will do until someone creates a genuine Android version.

I can also recommend OruxMaps and MarineNavigator as good navigation programs which allow you to use your own .kap nautical charts.

MxMariner is a bare bones navigation app for Android. It lets you download a region full of NOAA charts so you don't have to be online to use it.

David.. MarineNavigator is an easy to use navigation program with all the main facilities.
You can use ANY .bsb or .kap type nautical program, not just the US NOAA ones.
It can also import/export .gpx routes/tracks.
