Comnav 1420 Failed

I was really looking forward to sitting on my boat sailing along with my little umbrella sticking out out of my drink and watch my new autopilot take me to new adventures. But alas my comnav unit appears to be sick.

Last week I finished the installation of the hydrualic pump unit from octopus and with the comnav moved rudder back and forth to purge air from the ram. This weekend I was going to calibrate the unit but I got no response from the output to pump. I put 12volts on pump and it worked just fine. I read voltage from comnav to pump and got nada. I opened the unit to look at electroncis and could see large transistors on the heat sink. I figure I fried one or both. How could I have done this?

Comnav is not in today (they sure take alot of time off). Looking for tech that can fix on east coast.

Thanks

Re: Comnav 1420 Failed

Thanks, I did check the fuse but it turns out it was operator error (me). I did not read the instructions carefully on first time calibration. It works just fine there was nothing wrong with it.
Thanks
