Hi, I am using MaxSea 10.3.2.1 with cm93 charts. Version 2 has more details than version 3. A friend of mine is using additional charts with more details for the asian region. Are there also more detailed charts available for the mediterranean?

MaxSea 10.3.2.1 Tutorial

Hi Ami,
I sent you an e-mail with attachment. Quite big (15MB) but it worked. If you have any idea where to get detailed charts for the mediterranean Sea please let me know.
Regards,
Bernd

Hi, I am new to this. I hope to use C-maps on OpenCPN.
I should be grateful if you would send me an email as well.
Perhaps I should not put my email here. What does PM stand for?

Thanks, Chris

PM=Private Message

At the upper left of a post, click on the person's name, on the drop down menu, the second choice is to send a private message to that person.

To check your messages, on just about any page, look at the top right where it says "Welcome fronsdal". Underneath that is a link "Private Massages". Click on that to check for messages.

If you have left your settings at the defaults, if someone sends you a message, next time you refresh the page or go to a new one, a pop-up will tell you that you have a message.

Re: CM93 C-Map

With help from many friends, I now have:

OpenCPN running on my Map (Snow Leopard),

downloaded CM93 from May 2009, 1.4 GB,

extracted these files, all 11 parts, with Unrar

the bulk of the files are in an "iso" file.

The question now is, how should I tell OpenCPN about them?

I tried adding an individual chart
I tried to add the ...iso file
I tried to add everything, that is a file called CM93
that was the result of the extraction.

No dice.

Possible reasons: A. Somewhere along the line
the file called itself CM93 v3. Of course the file I chose was version 2,
and besides the date, May 2009, indicates v2, I think.
B. The download includes MaxSea, a bunch of Unix files. Why?
C. The file is not suitable for a Mac.

Can someone help me with some suggestions?

Thanks, Chris

PS How do I add a new thread?

Easy, there...

Note the

Even with English not being your first language, that should be a good clue that it was not meant as a malicious post.
