CHS BSB V4 PAC03 & Fugawi Marine 5 - some charts preview & display blank

Hey all ...

After some specific searching here w/o any success, I thought I'd see if anyone has ever run into the Subject issue I'm seeing in Fugawi Marine 5.

Out of the 131 charts in CHS PAC03 (CHS' products are new to me), 79 display OK in F M 5.0.0.79 and 52 do not (F M 5 running on Win XP Pro SP3 32-bit OS - Note: I cannot upgrade F M 5 to the latest 5.1.0.12 version as 5.0.0.79 is the highest supported XP version ... Northport Systems would have me upgrade to Win 7 or 8 ... and I don't wanna') .

However, I have a concurrent installation of Fugawi Marine ENC Ver. 4.5.56.5612 on this same Lenovo T61 machine (I do not run these proggies at the same time) and it can display every one of the 131 charts (when pointed to the exact same Fugawi Marine 5\Charts\Test directory), so, F M 5 and its' process of converting CAP files to FX5 (container) files in order to read / utilize them seems to be the issue here, not the CHS BSB V4 (raster) charts themselves.

Further, I have noted that with only 7 exceptions, almost every CAP (FX5) filename ending in 01 (as in 300001.CAP [FX5]) fails to display, while every CAP (FX5) filename ending in 02, 03, 04, 05 or 06 displays properly. A pretty interesting coincidence, if that’s all it is.

Anyone got any thoughts for me ... or can remember this issue coming up before?
