Charts Highlighting Islands ?

Most charts make it look like there are continents and a few island chains here and there. There are supposed to be a lot of small islands that aren't part of major island chains or archipelagos and that just don't show up unless you zoom way in. Is there any resource that highlights all these little isolated islands, maybe making each one no smaller than X so it is visible even at a larger scale ?

Maybe there aren't as many as cruisers' accounts would have you believe ?

I think there really aren't as many "random rock in the ocean" kind of islands. There are areas in the Pacific where that is the case - official us S57 charts show pretty much all of them at the highest level.

I would say there are plenty.

I guess that depends on a definition of plenty

In any case, every island and even every underwater rock in the ocean, that presents hazard to navigation, is available in the top level S57 charts from NOAA (i.e. in the areas they cover, which include large portions of Pacific ocean). Depending on charting product these would be visible at some of the highest "zoom levels". I can't vouch for areas not covered by NOAA charts - but I would hope that they have comparable level of detail.
