C-Map tide prediction question
Hi Folks,
I have recently installed a Furuno GP7000 chartplotter that uses a C-Map chart chip. Whenever I seach for a tide station and check the tide the display defaults to 11:55 Local time. I have set the time and the time zone on the unit but no matter what time of day or what tide station I pick it always defaults to 11:55. I can change the time to find the tide at the current time but I figure that it should show the tide at the current time when I open the window. Any ideas? Thanks Ansley Sawyer SV Pacem PS. Sorry about the duplicate post on the Electronics section. |

I have a Standard Horizon CPV 350. It is C-Map chart chip based too. My experience with the tide display is exactly the same as yours... I have to manually adjust the time. If anyone can shed light on this behavior, it would be greatly appreciated.
