Best month to cross the Atlantic from Florida to Bermuda - Azores - Med?

as for Florida... you may as well head for Bermuda... the currents will only shove you that way anyway...
From St Martin I've usually passed within 5-600miles SE of Bermuda bt the time I've cleared the Stream... its a lot wider there...
so from where you'll end up... may as well have a look...
Done crossings from between mid April to June 14th..
In your case the earlier the better as you'll be travelling along hurricane alley getting there..

What Boatman said! Watch the weather patterns in May and you should be able to get a good window to the Azores. They are worth a visit. I am told that July weather is better than June in the Azores, but we enjoyed it there last June. We'll be heading through there in June towards Ireland. I'll keep an eye out for the Maple Leaf. Bet with today's weather you are looking forward to getting south!

Here's another vote to sail for Bermuda mid to late May, then to the Azores in June. Despite recent years, on average June is pretty light on tropical systems--I think all the races go to and from Bermuda in June. Bermuda is a great place to visit, and not so expensive if you don't have to do major restocking. Nice anchorages and friendly people. It also allows you to get the absolute best weather forecast for the rest of your trip, or to wait out some potentially iffy tropical weather./
