Astro Navigation

In the process of teaching myself the black art of the sextant, are there any websites that will give individual daily pages for 2010, I would like to get some practical experience without buying the complete astronomical almanac

There's lots of sites..

Try the US NGA site, it's also got "A Marine Navigation Calculator function is also available on the Website, which performs many of the navigational computations derived from data found within this publication's tables."

Well, if you'd like to check the results of you black-art practices, try this little thing:
Astronavigation - Simple celestial navigation program
It doesn't look pretty, and it may look complicated, but it's not, just keep [Enter] pressed for a second or so as it starts, then just change a couple of values.
It's small and free, thing is, it's for DOS, so if your OS doesn't support it, you'll need a little emulator like DosBox, which works just fine in win and linux.
In my opinion, usability-wise, it beats all the prettier win-based programs I tried, get used to it in a minute, and it's really quick-and dirty, which at sea can be a great advantage
