Anyone Got South Pacific Charts They Can Send Me ?

Hey guys. I am after any charts or chart files you are willing to part with or share for my Pacific crossing from CA to Australia.

If you can help me in any way it would be great.

Thanks.

You could try this link, lots of KAP files, some for Pacific. You'll need opencpn or something similar.

Thanks. There is a lot there. But am I missing something in regards to how they are organised? It appears the only way to find the chart you are after is to randomly search through thousands of files?

I think I have to correlate it with this region 8.

The NGA charts have all been withdrawn (officially).

If you want paper charts: I'm a very happy customer of Tony Herrick (Cruising Connections) in Durban. We bought a huge set of used charts for the Indian Ocean from him several years ago, and then sold them back to him when we got to Africa. Anyways, I am currently talking to him about putting together a similar "everything" set of charts for the South Pacific (I gave my last set away...), and he seems to have them.

Cruising Connections for new and used paper marine navigation charts, cruising guides and passage planning notes, pilots, flags, sailing books and marine ebooks .

Upper L hand corner - iOpenCPN user manual...scan down about half a page to Setup Charts...under that category, 'chart sources' will get you started. Australia only has a few free. Oz has entire area free.
