Adding ENC (Vector) Charts to Fugawi Marine 4.5

Fugawi Marine ENC version 4.5.44.4401 generally works well, but we encountered a problem trying to install the NOAA ENC Florida chart package. The ZIP from NOAA unpacks properly. Fugawi identifies and supposedly installs all of the maps in the package, but they don't show up in the Open Map ENC directory. They are listed by the "Edit ENC Chart Collection" option.
The NOAA RNC (raster) Florida package installs without any problems. It is also possible to install individual ENC charts.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem ?

Thanks to Kristina at Fugawi, I have some information about using the ENC charts with Fugawi Marine ENC 4.5.
File->Open Map displays only the name of the directory which contains the ENC files. Double clicking on this name results in a display of the overview chart. You select a part of this chart by selecting Zoom Mode from the left toolbar and then drawing a rectangle that contains the chart area of interest. Click on this and the ENC chart is displayed. This procedure is quite different from that of using RNC charts. These names of the individual RNC charts are displayed by File->Open Map and you can easily select the chart of interest. I don't know why the names of the ENC charts are not displayed in a similar manner.
After you select an ENC chart, this chart will always be displayed when clicking on File_>Open Map->'ENC file directory name'. The only known way to get back to the overview chart is to click on Zoom All on the top toolbar.
An apparent bug is that the ENC charts do not initially display place names although this is the default option. The names can be displayed by selecting ENC from the top toolbar, followed by Display Settings. Unselect and then reselect the two text checkboxes, click on apply and then on OK. The names now appear on the charts.

This is a little more information on Fugawi Marine 4.5.

The software has an experimental (beta) option for displaying a split-screen display of a GPS position synchronized image from Google Earth. There are several problems. The display has some erratic behavior, centering doesn't work properly and the program doesn't function if the map data are not already in Google's cache or if there isn't an active Internet connection. The latter functionality could be by Wi-Fi, cellular,satellite or other radio communication link with the Internet.
One alternative is to manually select overlapping, high definition Google Earth images along a route of interest prior to navigating the route. Google automatically stores the image data in a cache file and will use this information, if available, rather than having to repeatedly download it from the Internet. The maximum size of the cache is 2 GB. You can save the data in another file and then copy it back to Google's cache whenever you want Google Earth to use it. The only catch is that the Google Earth program periodically sends out a nag message indicating that it cannot connect to the Internet even when this connection is unnecessary because the required image data are already locally accessible.
