Re: Tips for manual windlasses and hand weighing of anchor?

Ha Mike, yes that's always been my morning anchor up routine, drinking a cuppa as I haul. Pull half up, till I start hitting mud, then set the main/and or start the motor. While I am doing this some of the mud washes off and I figure the anchor can start working it's way out of the bottom.

I have a nice rest for a bit at short stay until the anchor pops itself out, then refreshed I can quickly crank up the last bit. It's a nice way to start a day. And pleasant though if its not blowing hard.
