Woman 2: "Yes, but it is not just ANY anchor. He bought me a Spade!" (smile)

Woman 3: (nodding with knowing smile to woman 2) "Your husband is so smart and you are so lucky!"

Woman 2: "I know. But in this case I picked it out!" (Amused smile)

Woman 3: "Then he is a genius!" (Nods approval)

Will be even better? Better than what? Better than last years sale? But this is your first ever. Or when you say it will be even better do you mean you are giving away a free bottle opener with each order?

Now that would be better. I ain't buying no anchor unless it comes with a bottle opener, or maybe a shiny keychain, or some other kind of gimmick because 10% off really isn't really a significant discount. Is that really the largest discount ever offered to the public?

I never had a problem with my Deltas. I have been tempted by the new stuff but just waiting for the right deal. Delta still holds up fairly well in the reviews.

44lbs delta $265.00 (on sale at WM)

44lbs spade $756.00 x .90 = $680.40 ( Spade Anchor, Galvanized )

Not my preferred brand of anchor but was innovative in it's own way when it was a new design. Have to say I see a lot more of them around than Spades. A LOT more. More than adequate for most people's needs. You pays your moneys and takes your choice.

I bought the Spade 120s for my Cal-40. Yes, it was in some ways overpriced when I look at the price of the others but this anchor has never failed. It's my primary anchor and I have used it now 1.5 world circumnavigation. I spend almost all time on the hook an not in a marina. The only down side is that the funky curve in the stock required me to make modifications to the bow roller system to secure the anchor once on deck so if you want to buy one make sure it will work on your vessel. So I paid a bit more for this anchor but...... When the wind kicks up at night I sleep well having something down there I know I can trust.

Had a $35 Wagyu beef hamburger at a bar in Midtown once at the insistence of my dining companion. Very underwhelming.

Definitely not something I would eat everyday.

Anyhell, measly 10% discount is hardly worthy of red text. Maybe worth the red text if they included the bottle opener or shiny keychain. Regardless $15 per pound for a piece of anchor shaped steel.

I am sure it is a perfectly nice anchor.
