New Simpson Lawrence Windlass

I recently read of someone who is manufacturing the Simpson Lawrence manual windlasses but I cannot remember where I saw this. Would anyone have a point of contact or recall where this appeared? I need a good manual windlass for 5/16 BBB.

About a year ago Practical Sailor mentioned that a company in the UK called SLParts would be producing a new version of the old S/L SeaTiger. The owner is a guy who used to work for S/L and has been selling spare parts. Despite the article, all I see on his website is spares. You should probably contact the guy to see if he's selling a complete windlass. The web site address is Simpson Lawrence Yacht parts and spares.

I completely rebuilt my Seatiger buying parts from Scotland. It was not cheap, however, I basically have a brand new 555. It works great...

John at SL Spares (Scotland) helped me tremendously when I rebuilt my windlass - works great now. I did get some parts from him, and they arrived promptly.

When the case was completely bare I brought it to a local powder coating company - so it not only works great but looks great as well.
