Lofrans Royal Manual Windlass (Older Model) Template

Hi Folks,

Bit of a problem ... maybe someone can help me out. I am trying to get a template for a very old Lofrans Royal windlass (it seems to be an imperial one not the newer metric model and somewhat different to the more modern ones ie with an attached oblong chain pipe surround (broken by a previous owner and now missing).

Does anyone have an old style Lofrans 'Royal' Windlass? I am trying to fix one to an Amazon 8m Cat which I am refitting and it would be easier if I had a template (different to the more modern models). Unfortunately, the integrated rectangular chain pipe surround has been broken off and lost by a previous owner, so I do not know the size of the chain pipe cutout nor the diam. and precise location of the studs used - it seems that the studs may have been smaller than the M10 ones which are used with the newer models and the location not quite the same!

I know this is a long shot. However, any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Many thanks for those links - still haven't fully solved problem of shape/diam with respect to chain size i.e. 8mm but this is a great start. I've sent an email to Atom Voyages.
