You may have overdone it a bit but at the price you can always downsize.

Saw a 60lb Manson waiting to be picked up in Mackay the other day.

Recon 80lb would be good size for a 50ft cat. Still sleep with a 60lb OK in most conditions.

If staying with adelta i would move up to the 55lb.

Never been a problem during any shift I've had. And even if it does pull out it sets so fast (I normally can tell it bit at 2x depth) that it doesn't matter I hope). The design is a fast set, big bite, anchor!

Just to clarify again my delta is a 55lbs. I made mistake when I said it was 45. It seems to work really well in coral sand. So well that it almost does not want to come out at all!

Ok, I missed that. That should be good to go. Used a 55 on my 47 passport. (next size up was huge, forget the weight) I like the Delta in sand etc. The only thing I would watch, is wind reversal holding.... seems they dont reset well after a full wind direction change. Which I guess is not limited to the Delta... but they do let go pretty fast in that situation.
