Identifying Anchor Chain..
HT, G4, BBB....or more....How does one identify what kind of chain one has if, (in my case), there are no markings on your manual windlass?

Carefully measuring the link sizes will identify the size and give you some clue with imperial chain to the grade of steel used.

Also have a look on the chain links for marks.
