Go To Trinidad

I've spent the last seven hurricane seasons in Trinidad. Anchored at the Trinidad and Tobago Sailing Assn. anchorage. $100US a month no problem. Or you can haul out along with 1500 other boats at one of the eight yards. Of course there's always the marinas.
Keep track of the weather via the morning weather net: Eric at 3855 LSB at 6:30 local time.
Trinidad is 82 miles from the southend of Granada. Sail overnight to arrive in the morning. Be mindful of the 2 to 3 knot current. Go on the west side of the gas platforms, and watch for shipping to the north of the platforms.
Anchoring in the St. George's Lagoon is now next to impossible as the new mega yacht marina under construction dominates the area. They've removed the sandbar that protectd the anchorage from surge.
