How long should an anchor snubber be Part 2

Re: How long should an anchor snubber be Part 2?
Thanks Guys for the answers which help a lot.

One question. If a snubber should be 1mm thick and 1M long in relation to the boats length how long and thick should it be if you use a bridle ie secured from two points from the bow of the boat, do you half the thickness and length?

Re: How long should an anchor snubber be Part 2

From 1 trawler to another, I use a bridle that hangs to the waterline. I then roll out another 10 to 15 ft of chain after the attachment point. This excess chain creates a loop that stays between the 2 bridle lines. This loop of chain adds weight, think kellet, along with the lower attachment point (3ft off the water instead of 8 ft off of the bow with a good steady pull), which aids in more lateral pull, which is a good thing. I use 1 inch braided line for the bridle and 1/2 in chain. Currently in the Exumas been on the hook for 120 days. Paydirt weighs 35 ton.
