Hoping to repair or replace the motor in my McMurray anchor windlass.

I installed a McMurray anchor winch on my Hardin 45 back in 1984. Lately it failed and the motor may need rebuild or replacement. The windlass has been reliable and useful, despite its age. Does anyone know specs on it so that I could try to find a replacement motor, to buy new brushes for it, or to get it repaired? It looks like perhaps a starter motor from a beefy car/truck engine. Any help would be much appreciated!
