I thought these were an interesting concept. I can't tell you how many times I've tripped over dock cleats in the dark. Could probably save quite a few stubbed toes!

It's been done.
Men's Timberland Whetstone ESD Moc Toe Oxford Features premium leather for comfort and durability. Conductive, breathable open-cell polyurethane footbed provides cushioning. Anatomically contoured insole with integral steel shank for support. Polyurethane unit sole is lightweight and flexible, with excellent cushioning, slip-resistance, oil resistance, abrasion resistance, and incorporates Ladder Lock™ outsole radius for comfort and confidence on extension ladders. This style features a steel toe.
