Cheap Mooring Sandy Hook or South?

Anyone know of an inexpensive mooring for rent around the New York area, or south down the NJ coast? I currently am at a mooring in Perth Amboy, NJ and it is $351 a month. Need to move the boat.
Thanks!

Jack

How long do you plan on staying? You could try Morgan Marina, across the bay. They have a few moorings in the channel of Cheesequake Creek, they may cut you a deal for the remainder of the season. If your stay is short and you trust your anchor gear you could drop a hook at the Atlantic Highlands behind the breakwater at the end of the mooring field.

Appreciate the information. I only need it for a month or two. Moving the boat south for the winter. Should be fun!

You could also give Raritan Marina a Try, Raritan Marina

They are under new ownership, since Sandy. They may have a few empty slips they'd be willing to cut a short term break on. When you're ready to move south, you could re-locate to the Atlantic Highlands to wait for a northerly breeze to get you down the coast. While you're at it, try Lockwoods Marina too. No moorings only slips. But there are some vacant spots
