I would say '+1' but I think a few others have agreed. We anchored all over in the Bahamas with our Manson Supreme, and never drug. Even in the areas where the Explorer charts said 'poor holding' we did not move.

And if there is any anchor so far that will set in near any holding, it is the manson supreme or rocna. I've not experienced it myself, but read a ton of reports of the boat spinning 180 degrees and the anchor resetting many times without fail.

Rocna 15kg should be all you need on the bow.

I anchored hundreds of times in the Keys and the Bahamas, never had a need for a second anchor...That was probably the olden days when folks used Danforth anchors that did not reset right away if twisted out of position.

60 feet of 5/16 HT chain and a hundred 3/4" nylon should do ya fine.

And of course a spare or 2 spare emergency anchors stowed, but not too far away.

island mike - what size manson supreme are you using??? i'm using the 45 lb on a csy 37, 10 ton boat, moderate windage.
