What is that - a curb feeler? I know, I shouldn't laugh - it may be a multi-use piece of harware. After it bounced you off the dock and chafed through your mooring line, you could presumably unbolt the rusted L-bracket, install it on the sole of one of your shoes and pogo into town.

It might be easier than slowing down.

I like it! A very greek solution, I know that I could have done with something similar though much heavier when coming in bow on to the harbour wall in Paxos many years ago and couldn't select reverse, didn't do much to the boat but left a nice V in the concrete. Took a lot of skin of the deck hands hands as he tried to stop the anchor warp running through the bits without enough turns on.

There is something to be said for a "sailor" who knows his weak points and does his best, or at least attempts to remedy them.

This I believe is the proverbial equivalent of a man asking for directions. Bravo I say!!!
Insert redneck joke here.

I like his fairlead cleats (tho’ as is usual, they’re too small); but he doesn’t appear to know how to use them.

C'mon guys, its just a fender, we all have them - this a cheaper non-marine one, or perhaps a new way to stow the spinaker pole - where else can you put it on MOBO.

I love the pic you can see the driver has hit a few things so why not add a ramming spring it will either bounce you back at dock, we all know getting the rope over the cleat and stopping the boat while drinking is hard or if you do hit another boat while drinking you will lock together by him punching a hole in your boat and you can trade info. They do drink on Greece yes..
