If you go to this website charlesculotta.com and click on "mile markers and guides"
you will find several articles on the Gulf ICW through Louisiana There are not a lot of anchorages but several places to tie up for the night. You will find lots of commercial traffic the tow captains are usually very helpful, pay close attention to your radio at all times, and contact them if you have any questions.
Houma at mile 57 WHL has a nice municipal marina close to downtown restaurants and a convenience store. $25.00 per night incl elect. Morgan City about mile 95 has a free dock downtown, bring your fenders, and earplugs!
If you have any questions you can contact Charles by his website or private mail me on this site and I'll give you my contact numbers I live near Houma.
Steve
